Ingrid (Studio Manager)
Since childhood, I’ve always been active and involved with different sports: volleyball, indoor soccer, dance, swimming carnivals, and I even fell in love with cycling when I was just eight years old. I simply couldn’t sit still. My heroes at school were my PE teachers, and by following their footsteps, I became one. I’ve worked in all different areas of the exercise world and found myself in the fitness industry 15 years ago.
I probably haven’t been out of school for more than five years in my life. After a Bachelor in Physical Education, a Postgraduate in Swimming and Aquatic Exercises and a personal training qualification, I jumped into the business world. I have a Certificate III & IV in Business and Marketing, and a Diploma in Sports Recreation Management and Project Management.
I joined the SpeedFit family in 2016. I was first attracted to the business because of its unique qualities, and the passion everyone had with helping people in the hectic world we live in. I’d have to say, the best part of my role here is the clients!
When I’m not working, I love being outdoors, travelling, dancing, movies, playing UNO and training for triathlons.
I’ve always been into sports and fitness since I was a little girl. I practised rhythmic gymnastics for over 12 years in Italy at both National and International levels, representing my country in several competitions.
When I turned 18, I started coaching at my club, and in 2015, I moved to Perth to continue my career in coaching RG and became a certified Personal Trainer.
I’ve always been sporty and active ever since I can remember. I tried all sorts of sports throughout my childhood and finally found my passion in athletics and basketball – which I practiced for years. In my adult years, I’ve been training on my own and am constantly finding new ways to challenge my body and improve my fitness.
I decided to leave office jobs behind and take a new direction when I came to Australia. I got qualified as a personal trainer, made it into a career and haven’t looked back ever since.
I’m a big believer that exercising in any form can be an answer to so many of our problems and help us to be more productive and happier in our everyday lives. I like to help people on their fitness journey, be there for them, motivate them and celebrate both the small and big victories.
I’ve always been active, playing competitive and recreational team sports, so a career in the health and fitness industry seemed like a no-brainer to me. I have a Bachelor of Science in Exercise and Sports Science Cert IV in Sports Development and started with SpeedFit in 2019.
SpeedFit is so unlike any of the other fitness norms out there. Since finding out about it and experiencing it, I can say without a doubt that I’ve fallen in love with it. It’s such an extremely efficient mode of exercise, and yet it’s incredibly challenging – which keeps you coming back for more.
The best part of working at SpeedFit is having such a variety of clients – both old and new. It means I’m always doing new things and having interesting conversations. It’s also very active, which I like. I love being able to deliver great sessions and changing them up slightly to keep them interesting. But nothing beats the satisfaction of delivering a great session and seeing the smile on someone’s face. That never gets old.
In my spare time, I love playing recreational basketball with friends a few times a week, and going to one of our beautiful beaches – that’s always fun. I also love mountain hiking and road trips.
